I am a fiction writer and very substandard poet. I write short stories and novels and have at least two children’s books I’d someday like to get published.

Quick(ish) bio:

Lauren Hruska's work has appeared in magazines such as Not One Of Us, The Nashville Review, and The Noyo Review. She has a MA in Creativity and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and was a fiction fellow with the Martha’s Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing. She is working on a novel about wine and murder and another about driving away from all your problems.

In previous work iterations, Lauren has been a wastewater laboratory analyst and compliance coordinator, a winemaker, an events coordinator, a retail sales analyst, a graduate school admissions assistant, and a barista in the days before such a position required being skillful at making art in milk froth.

A recovering Bostonian, Lauren lives on the Central Coast of California with her family and a a very good boy named Comet.
